2012 Start times:
50k 7:45 am, 25k 8:30 am, 5k 9:40 am, 10k 10:15am 

Before the Race: Portable bathrooms will be available at start and finish and on the course, but they are limited.

Race Number: Please wear your race number on the front of your shirt to identify yourself before, during and after the race. ” Only wear the race number issued. Make sure your race number is pinned to the front of your shirt and is not covered by any clothing.

Timing Chips  This race will be timed using RFID chips (commonly referred to as a “timing chip”) attached to your shoe. Please take a moment to read these instructions and follow them carefully.
• Chips are non-transferable. Be careful not to switch with friends, family, teammates, etc.
• Either attach the chip to your shoes with the zip ties provided, or lace the chip in before you tie your shoes.
• Make sure you cross the finish line only once. Crossing more than once for whatever reason may cause your time to be inaccurate.
• There will be a chip collection point after you cross the finish line. Volunteers will happily take your chip for you.

YOU WILL BE SUBJECT TO THE $75.00 REPLACEMENT FEE FOR NOT RETURNING THE CHIP AT THE END OF THE RACE.   IF YOU FIND THAT YOU STILL HAVE A TIMING CHIP AFTER YOU HAVE LEFT THE RACE, YOU CAN DROP IT IN A ENVELOPE, AFFIX APPROPRIATE POSTAGE AND MAIL IT TO:

RACE RESULTS: Race results are posted on www.spokaneriverrun.com  

Parking: Parking is in an open field. Please follow the parking official’s directions. 

Strollers: 5k only, must be an all terrain baby jogger.   

Water Aid Stations: Number of water stations 5k—1 water station, 1 3/4 miile 10k – 1 water station 3 mile,25k –5 stations, 3, 6, 8.5 11, and 13 miles.50K—10 stations 3, 8, 12 15, 18, 21, 23.5, 26, and 28 milesWater stations located at the start and finish lines, sport drinks available at the finish line. 

50k Supply Drop: The 50K Supply Drop Zone is located at the start finish line and will be sectioned off.   50K runners are cautioned to not pass back through the Start/Finish line once they have crossed it in order to prevent their time from becoming invalidated.   

Medical Aid Personnel: Medical volunteers will be stationed at each water station.

Endurance Massage will be on site providing pre and post race athletic massages at $1 a minute. 

Awards: Awards ceremony will immediately follow each race.   

Random drawing: Race numbers will be randomly selected after the start of each race in order to determine prizes.  Winning numbers will be posted at the registration area immediately following the race and can be claimed at that time.        

Unclaimed awards t-shirts and prizes: Unclaimed awards, prizes and t-shirts can be picked up at Mountain Gear from April 24th to April 30th. If unavailable to pick up t-shirts and awards, they can be mailed at an additional fee of $15.00 payable to Garfield A.P.P.L.E. Parent Group 

Results: Finish times and results will be posted electronically on www.spokaneriverrun.com, www.roguemultisport.com, or Mountain Gear 2002 N. Division  

Running attire: Weather can be unpredictable, be sure to dress appropriately.  

Courtesy Matters: The race course may have other users other than registered racers (bicyclists, equestrians, animals).  Please show courtesy to those users.   

Horse Etiquette: If you encounter a horse, please give a verbal warning to alert the rider. 

Racing protocol: If a runner encounters an injured participant, trail running protocol courtesy dictates the non-injured runner stay with the injured runner or notifies the nearest aid personnel.

Food: There will be Sol de Taco (taco truck) selling some of Spokane's best Mexican food, as well as Have Beens will Travel keeping you and those awaiting you finish warm with coffee.

Water Stations will manned by Garfield APPLE elementary families. Their contributions keep this run alive!

Other: No picking wildflowers, and no dogs. Thank you.
